Okay, real talk. I would absolutely love to shoot at Zilker Botanical Garden during golden hour someday, because I'm pretty sure it would break the internet. Unfortunately, the garden doesn't open early enough to catch that magic morning light, so we had to work with what we had. And what we had? Actually turned out to be stunning. The shade throughout the garden is incredible, and honestly it gave Ariana's pre-quinceañera session this soft, lush, almost fantasy-like quality that I am completely obsessed with. Nature just does the work sometimes, and I'm just out here pointing a camera at it.
Ariana was a total gem to photograph, and her mom Amy and grandmother were right there in the wings making sure she smiled... like, the whole time. Every single shot. I'm talking dedicated smile coaches on the sideline. It was hilarious and incredibly sweet. That kind of energy on a session makes everything so much easier (and way more fun). But my absolute favorite moment from the whole shoot was getting Ariana up on the wooden bridge inside the garden. I don't know what it is about that spot, but the photos came out looking SO dreamy. Like something out of a fantasy novel. Soft light filtering through the trees, a beautiful girl in a stunning gown, and a bridge that just ties it all together. Chef's kiss.
