Some may not realize, but I had a regular day job with Cisco for nearly a decade—and I loved it! My colleagues were fellow nerds, and Cisco fully embraced that vibe. Every year, they do something special to celebrate May the 4th, and in 2016, they asked me to photograph the event.
It was a blast! They had everything from raffle prizes and a costume contest to Painting with a Twist, lifesize foosball, live music, food trucks, a tater tot eating contest, and more! Capturing all the fun and excitement was a great experience.
