I got to shoot Cisco's Pride parade and pre-party at their downtown office in Austin this year, and I am so proud to work for this company! No stiff handshake photos here. We're talking a float lit up like a disco ball rolling down Congress with the Capitol glowing in the background, a drag queen fortune teller working the crowd at the pre-party (genuinely one of my favorite things I've photographed all year, the smiles she pulled out of people were unreal), and just a whole lot of Cisco folks showing up for each other in matching rainbow tees.
What stuck with me most was watching how many people showed up just to support their coworkers. Not because they had to. Because they wanted to. That's the stuff that's hard to fake in front of a camera, and it's exactly what I try to capture when I shoot Pride events and corporate culture sessions in Austin. If you're planning an event where the vibe matters as much as the visuals, whether it's Pride, a company party, or anything in between, I'd love to help you tell that story.
