Hey everyone! One of the big reasons I rebranded to The Vinyl Lens was to dive deeper into music and concert photography. I had grand plans for 2020, with so many fantastic shows lined up in Austin, but COVID-19 threw a wrench in those plans. It had been months since I got to shoot a live show, and then I got a new camera body. As small venues started opening up for socially distanced crowds, I reached out to see if any local bands needed photos, and luckily, Stac3y Bell came to my rescue!
She invited me to a showcase she was hosting at Sahara Lounge, and I couldn't wait to test out my new gear. The experience was amazing—not only did the camera perform beautifully in low light, but each artist's heartfelt lyrics were a treat in this cozy dive bar setting. With a smaller crowd, I had the chance to really focus and capture some fantastic shots.
