Jason and Ashley came by my home studio with their baby boy for what I call a silver session, and it could not have been a sweeter shoot. I set up the black backdrop and studio lights to create that classic, timeless look, and their little one stole the show right away. My wife Mary jumped in to help get some smiles, and it worked like magic. We moved through a mix of family poses and individual moments, and everything came together in a really natural way.


There is something special about photographing a young family in a simple studio setup. It keeps the focus on connection and expression, and Jason and Ashley made it easy by being so relaxed and present with their son. By the end, we had a whole collection of portraits that feel warm, clean, and full of personality.
