Some weddings you show up to as a professional. Some weddings you show up to because someone you've known for over a decade finally found their person and trusted you to document it, and honestly, that second category hits different. Photographing Jude and Tyler's wedding at Casa Blanca in Round Rock was one of those full-circle moments that reminds me why I do this. I've driven past Casa Blanca more times than I can count and somehow never made it inside, and let me tell you, I was robbing myself. The venue is stunning, full stop.
The real highlight? Getting to witness the dabke and keffiyeh for the first time. If you've never seen a dabke, imagine a room full of people who have collectively decided that joy is a contact sport, and they are winning. The colors, the movement, the energy, it was the kind of thing that makes you forget you're supposed to be working and just soak it in for a second before remembering your camera exists. Jude and Tyler were gorgeous, their families brought the heat energy-wise, and the whole day felt like one long celebration that nobody wanted to end. Which, honestly, is exactly what a wedding should be.
If you're planning a wedding, cultural celebration, or any event where people are going to be dancing, laughing, and making memories worth keeping, I would love to be there with a camera. Whether you're in Austin, Round Rock, or anywhere across Central Texas, let's make something you'll actually want to look at for the next fifty years.
