There's something really special about picking up a camera for people you genuinely love. Melissa and Ed have been my friends since 2013, and getting to document their family over the years is honestly one of my favorite things this job has handed me. We met up at Mueller Lake Park in Austin for a family session that felt less like work and more like a really good afternoon, which is exactly how it should be.
We recreated a couple of shots from years past, and I'll just say, the boys have grown. A lot. Like, suspiciously a lot. It's one of those things where you see kids every few years and suddenly they look like they could beat you at arm wrestling. Watching those side-by-sides come together was genuinely one of those moments where photography earns its keep. Near the end of the session we wandered onto this mostly empty sidewalk with string lights overhead, and the bokeh was absolutely dreamy. One of those happy accidents that makes Austin outdoor sessions so hard to beat.
If you've got a family, a friend group, or anyone worth documenting, I'd love to be your photographer for the next decade or two. Austin family sessions are kind of my thing, and Mueller Lake Park is one of those locations that just delivers every time. Reach out to me and let's get something on the calendar!
