My second weekend back at the Texas Renaissance Festival was the 1001 Dreams theme and the whole place felt like it had been sprinkled with magic. Everywhere I turned there were fairies, pixies, mushrooms, and all kinds of whimsical characters drifting through the trees. This was the weekend where I really felt myself settling into the rhythm of the season. I came in with a full list of shots I wanted to capture and ended up getting everything plus a bunch of unexpected moments that made the day even better.


Some of the standout highlights included photographing a D&D one shot at the Guild Hall, wandering through Madam Macabres House of Curiosities where I could have spent hours looking at all the strange little treasures, catching a tequila tasting at the Tecuani Trading Post, and checking out the new Green Hour show at Wyrmwood Public House. It was one of those weekends where the creativity of the festival really shines and I loved getting to document it all.
