The person of your dreams finally popped the question, or maybe you were the one who popped the question, and now you're engaged! And you probably found out pretty quickly that there is a LOT that goes into planning a wedding. You're trying to figure out colors, flowers, whether the groom is going to wear a bowtie or a regular tie, doing tastings for different caterers and bakeries, and and look! There's a wedding expo happening in a couple of months that I need to go check out...

Take a deep breath, and relax. Because The Vinyl Lens makes it easy to get your photography taken care of.

Bobby Cox (of The Vinyl Lens) has been photographing weddings since 2011. Since then, he has photographed many dozens of weddings as a primary photographer, and many events as well. He is well-versed in the hustle and bustle of wedding photography - working with all the vendors (like your wedding coordinator, the DJ, the officiant, the venue owners, etc.) to be well-prepared to make your wedding day go smoothly and to make sure no special moments are left unphotographed.

What you will find below is some information regarding wedding day photography pricing, our portfolio, and typical timelines and steps for booking us as your photographers for your big day! As always, please contact us if you have any questions so that we may be of assistance.

Notes:

  • Your primary photographer will be Bobby Cox of The Vinyl Lens
  • While The Vinyl Lens remains the owner of the photographs delivered, the images are delivered with no copyright restrictions. We offer the ability to order prints through our website, but you are free to download the images and print from anywhere or use them in any way you see fit.
  • All images are delivered via a private gallery protected by a client ID and password. From the private gallery, you can download images and purchase prints.
  • Images are professionally edited and delivered in full resolution. If any editing requests are made, this may push out the delivery time.
  • A pre-wedding shoot can be almost whatever you would like it to be for up to two hours. Most people use these as engagement or bridal shoots, but some also like to have their rehearsal dinners photographed, or boudoir styled photographs taken as a gift to their significant other. Note that depending on location, the client is responsible for any additional fees that may occur when shooting on location (for instance, some gardens have a photographer fee to take photos on the property).
  • Delivery time is based on the day after the wedding. For example, if your wedding day is on March 1st, your photos start getting processed on March 2nd and would be delivered 21 days after (March 23rd).
  • Available discounts: 10% off when the entire contract is paid upfront at contract signing.
  • Payments: We use Square to send invoices. We require 50% at contract signing, and the other 50% any time before the wedding date, unless you are taking advantage of our all paid upfront discount (100% at signing).
  • 50% of the package cost is used as a retainer and is non-refundable. As soon as a contract is signed, your wedding date is reserved and other inquiries are turned down.

Timeline

This section is going to show a general overview of what this whole process looks like start to finish so you know exactly what to expect when looking to book your wedding photography with us. Every client is unique and while we generally stick to these steps, we do have wiggle room and sometimes steps get switched up depending on your needs and expectations.

  1. You contact us via our contact form, letting us know some basic information about your wedding (date, package your interested in, etc).
  2. We respond with any follow-up questions, whether or not that date is open, and send a copy of the wedding contract based on responses for review
  3. We will work you to setup a time to meet in person to chat, and you can get a better feel for our personalities to make sure you feel comfortable that you're making a great choice in who to cover your wedding.
  4. The contract can be signed at first meeting, or a second meeting can be setup for contract signing and appropriate payments.
  5. A wedding questionnaire is sent to the client to gather more details on the wedding (coordinator contact information, wedding day timelines, list of must have photos, and much more).
  6. Secondary photo shoots (when appropriate package is purchased) are done, and photos delivered within one week of photo shoot.
  7. Day before wedding - remaining payment made (if applicable).
  8. Wedding Day! We arrive and take beautiful photos of your wedding day.
  9. Photos edited and delivered within time specified for package purchased.
