Man... I don't even know where to start when talking about Trent Turner. I was out with my friend Jessica at The Elephant Room one night back in 2013 or 2014 taking in some local jazz music and spirits. Once we wrapped up there, it was a short walk over to 6th Street to listen to some blues. My go-to spots were always BD Riley's and Friends for those sad licks you know and love. I pass by the window to BD Riley's and I hear my all time favorite guitar song playing: "Little Wing" as performed by Stevie Ray Vaughan. I walked in and watched the rest of the set that Trent Turner was playing. I started going to just about every single show for the next year or so. Eventually, we became friends, and he even asked me to manage the band and help find gigs. I found out I was much better behind the camera than I was at scouting places to play, but to this day I go to the shows as often as I can. Trent is an incredible musician. He does tricks that make everyone pull out their phones and start recording, like the classic behind the back playing, and even plucking the strings with his tongue.
